MultiChoice dumps TV Globo; adds TV Record, EVA and Telemundo channels to its Portuguese DStv package from 1 July.

MultiChoice is dumping the TV Globo channel channel and adding the TV Record (DStv 515) and telenovela channels EVA (DStv 508) and Telemundo (DStv 507) dubbed into Portuguese to DStv's Portuguese package.

TV Globo will be removed from 1 July from DStv and TV Record, a subsidiary of Rede Record, and EVA and Telemundo added.

The Spanish EVA and Telemundo on these DStv channel numbers will have a Portuguese soundtrack, different from the English dubbed EVA and Telemundo lower down the DStv channel line-up.

TV Record is one of Brazil's most popular TV networks and the general entertainment channel broadcasts telenovelas, documentaries, current affairs programming dramas and news.

TV Record carries shows like news bulletins and special news reports from Jornal da Record to Balanço Geral and Repórter Record Investigação and telenovelas like Caminhos do Coração, Vidas em Jogo and Os Mutantes.
